Mafube Business Forum (MBF) have seen lots of money go to waste in Mafube, with the ineffectual repairing of old infrastructure of which much is recognised as well past its "sell-by date". It is time to systematically replace and upgrade, and provide for redundancy and planned maintenance, rather than continually doing patch-up jobs. Window dressing and reactive repairs are wasteful and unsustainable. The condition of our roads, sewer-and water reticulation systems have a direct impact on service delivery, the economy and the mood of society.
MBF choose to walk the path less comfortable and are working hard to get Mafube back in "working" condition. Not by window dressing, but tackling the root of the problem... administration. Administration is the management and application of processes in an office, business, or organisation. It involves the efficient and effective organisation of people, information, and other resources to achieve organisational objectives.
It is no surprise that many of the administrative tasks that had to be taken care off, was and is still being neglected. The administration process can be revived, but will need careful planning and specialised expertise.
After successfully obtaining a High Court order in April 2022, MBF started to engage with the municipality and the provincial intervention team in meetings to work through, build and implement agreements already in place. It is a long and tedious path of meeting upon meeting, sometimes until late at night, to ensure all technicalities are taken care off. Whilst these discussions are underway, not much can be done on ground level.
MBF are however very positive about the progress made this far, and are very excited about the road ahead. More info will be made available on the plan-of-action, in due course.
MBF's vision is an environment with sustainable economic and social progress. A better Mafube for all.
Since 2019 we have come a long way, and are still committed to our community and region.
